One day. Three divisions. Real competition. The BTG Summer Breakout is an internal 3v3 tournament built for athletes who want to test their game in a structured, high-energy environment.
One Day to Prove It
The BTG Summer Breakout is a one-day internal 3v3 tournament running on June 27, 2026 — held at the same location as the BTG School's Out Sessions clinic series.
Designed for beginner and intermediate athletes making the transition from rec to organized play. No experience required — just the willingness to compete, communicate, and grow.
The tournament runs under official FIBA 3v3 rules across three divisions broken out by age and session group. Open to all skill levels — separate from the clinic series, same location and schedule.
Three Divisions
Girls Only
A competitive, focused environment built specifically for young women to put their skills and IQ on display. Same high standards, dedicated space.
Youth & Middle School
Where rec players step up. Built for athletes making the transition from disorganized recreation leagues to real, structured basketball.
High School Prep
Fast, competitive, mentally demanding. The speed and IQ of high school basketball in a 3v3 format that rewards decision-making.
FIBA 3v3 Rules
3-on-3 Format
Three players per team on a half-court. Fast, physical, and demanding. Every player touches the ball, every decision matters.
Time & Scoring
Games to 21 points or a 10-minute time cap. Two-point shots from beyond the arc, one-point inside. First to 21 or the leader at time wins.
Check Ball
Ball must be checked after every made basket and change of possession. No fast breaks off made shots — possession resets at the arc.
Defense Clears
After a defensive rebound or steal, the ball must be cleared behind the three-point arc before the team can attempt to score.
Fouls & Free Throws
Team fouls reset each period. After 6 team fouls, each additional foul results in two free throws. Flagrant fouls result in ejection.
Team Size
Up to 4 players per roster (3 active + 1 substitute). Individual sign-ups will be placed on a team by BTG coaches.
